Florianópolis, April 7, 2025 – Cemvita, a leader in industrial biotechnology, has announced a strategic partnership with REMA, a research center affiliated with UFSC, to expand capabilities in evaluating and utilizing carbon waste streams as feedstock for sustainable oil production.
This initiative strengthens Cemvita’s presence in Brazil, building on its 2024 expansion, the Fuel of the Future Law, and its partnership with Be8 to convert glycerin into low-carbon feedstock for SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel).
“Together, we will enhance our platform and advance the circular bioeconomy in Brazil and beyond,” said Tara Karimi, Cemvita’s Chief Science & Sustainability Officer.
