With over 15 years of experience in fermentation and cell culture, genetic engineering, technology transfer, and pilot operations, Dr. Khan drives process innovation at Cemvita for CO₂ utilization and microbial oil production.
He has advanced CO₂-to-chemicals and microbial oil technologies from concept to pilot readiness, directed multidisciplinary R&D teams, and delivered high-impact engineering solutions across biomanufacturing and synthetic biology.
Passionate about the circular bioeconomy, Dr. Khan excels at translating innovative science into scalable industrial processes. He has led front-end engineering design for next-generation fermentation facilities, developed robust fermentation processes and downstream recovery strategies, and partnered with EPCs and CDMOs to accelerate commercialization. At Cemvita, he oversees process development and technology transfer, aligning cutting-edge R&D with commercial execution. Nymul holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Penn State University.
